ROVIRALTA WITH THE CHILDREN

Roviralta Foundation has awarded a grant to continue supporting the program “Improving child nutrition in rural areas” through the opening of new kindergartens. The activities cover all necessary aspects for a good development and growth of the child, psychomotor, cognitive and overall nutritional.

During the months of April and May will be held the workshop “Erase stereotypes, create diversity” aimed at immigrant women who do not feel identified with the image that represents them and want to enter the visual language to show their life stories and break with the clichés and stereotypes that surround them.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Commissioner of Home Affairs European Union Cecilia Malmström and Vice President European Commission Viviane Reding have joined the call for Human Rights Defenders in the campaign against female genital mutilation (FGM).

In Senegal, although it is prohibited by law since 1999 in some rural areas still persists. Gune Foundation, through community health programs, we make awareness campaigns about the importance of eradicating this practice due to the huge psychological and physical consequences.

In a significant day like today we express our support for all actions taken both by governments, associations, NGOs and citizens who struggle daily to eradicate female genital mutilation worldwide.
